All students may apply in accordance with the District One school choice policy. Our criteria for admissions is based on attendance, current teacher recommendation, and a group interview. Academic performance is only one of several factors we consider. Ideal candidates for Tompkins Square Middle School value learning and collaborate well in pairs or small groups. In addition, the student must work well in a diverse community of students.

The 2008-2009 TSMS tour season has now begun. This year, they will take place on Friday mornings at 9am. You must sign up for school tours.

We currently accept students for entry in the sixth grade.
