ADMISSIONS

All students may apply in accordance with the District One school choice policy. Our criteria for admissions is based on current teacher evaluation, attendance, and a group interview. Academic performance is only one of several factors we consider. Ideal candidates for Tompkins Square Middle School value learning and collaborate well in pairs or small groups. In addition, the student must be able to work well in a diverse community of students.

Our TSMS tour season usually begins in early October. You must sign up for school tours via e-mail or telephone. We currently accept students for entry in the sixth grade.
