Announcing the MS Arts Audition Boot Camp Expansion!
Program Dates: July 31 – August 11, 2017
Schedule: Boot Camp meets daily, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. *Accepted students must commit to full attendance and participation for the entire program.
Location: Lincoln Center Education, 70 Lincoln Center Plaza, The Rose Building, Samuels Teaching Studio, 7th Floor
Program Description: Middle School Arts Audition Boot Camp is a free, two-week arts program for New York City Department of Education public school students entering grade 8 in September, 2017. This will be our fourth year serving these talented Middle School students of New York City and our hope is to expand the program this year to meet the needs of more students than ever. Our goal is to provide equity and access in preparation for screened DOE high school arts schools/programs. This is an intensive program for up to 320 NYCDOE public school students.
Meals: Free breakfast and lunch will be available for students while the program is in session.
Transportation: An MTA student Metrocard will be provided to each student free of charge by the first day of the program, July 31 and is valid for the duration of the program as well as for scheduled parent meetings.
Admission to Middle School Arts Audition Boot Camp is by online application and audition/screening. Students may apply and audition for only ONE studio.
Student Application Period: Dec. 13 2016 – Apr. 7. 2017
Student Auditions/Screening: Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Talent Unlimited High School
