While the high school admissions process won't officially start until September, I'd like to share as much information as possible as early as possible to help you get through what is sure to be a very long process. In order to do so, I will be hosting 2 "High School Nights" (an informational event to kick off the High School admissions process).
The first will be Thursday, May 27st from 5:30-6:30 (flyer attached and link will be shared closer to meeting date). Its purpose will be to introduce how the process works and share resources to get you mentally prepared.
In order to answer all of your questions/concerns, I will ask that you use the chat feature in the Zoom room to ask your questions, share any thoughts. I will then make a document that will include the answers and send it out the following day.
**Please note that there are still some unknowns but the second High School Night which will be held in September will include updates based on changes made by the Department of Education over the summer months.
This can be a pretty daunting process but I will be continuously providing you updates to hopefully reduce the level of stress the process can bring. As soon as I know something, I'll share that information with you.
Please check out my Counseling Website where I have just posted information about NYCiSchool's open house events happening in May and June.
Looking forward to seeing you!
Ms. Melendez
